Definition
Group - A set of items that share common characteristics such as the same photos, overall description, etc...
To help facilitate a more natural organization of products and merchandise, EZCat allows you to combine similar items into logical groupings. This allows you to share the same photo among items, the same description, or simply group the items together so your visitors can more easily find the product variances they are looking for.
An example of a group of items is shown below. This group happens to share the same photo and description but the items differ in the size of the order (half dozen to two dozen) with different pricing. Many of the features of this design is shown below.
 A. Clear trail “bread crumbs” navigation so shoppers always know where they are in the site.
B. Group titles appear prominently on each page.
C. A group specific photo can be selected to represent the entire group, or EZCat will automatically use a photo from one of the items found within the group.
D. Additional navigation allows shoppers to return to the category list that this group falls into.
E. List of items that are inside this group. Items here share common descriptions, photos, or general information but differ in price or options.
F. An are to more fully describe the benefits of the items in this group is available. A separate description of the items themselves is defined within the item configuration.
G. Item pricing is listed line by line for easy selection. Special shipping such as “free shipping” can also be displayed in this area.
