The order confirmation
page allows your customers to view their order one final time and thus agree to
all that is depicted including shipping information and total cost. Once
the order is accepted, the shopping cart is placed “in stone” internally and a
receipt is sent to the customer (using the exact same HTML depicted in the
confirmation page) as well as e-mails to your order managers for fulfillment.
A. Trail indicator that
this is the last step to the order process although it is not yet complete.
Shoppers need to visually inspect the order and press
ACCEPT ORDER.
B. Again, the full shopping
cart is displayed.
C. Billing information is
displayed for confirmation.
D. Any discount as applied
by valid discount codes or coupons is indicated clearly in the cart.
E. A final total for the
complete order is clearly indicated.
NOTE: This
actual HTML will be e-mailed to the shopper as a receipt as well as to your
order fulfillment center along with a separate e-mail to your order center that
contains encrypted credit card information
