EZCat’s shopping cart design is unique in that it groups all items in the cart by shipping address.  This was derived over years of experience with users who wish to try to save money on shipping while at the same time make it very easy to understand with just a single glance.

Below is an example of a small, yet complex, shopping cart.  Note that there are three total items in the cart, two of which are to be shipped to the same physical location

Shopping Cart DisplayA. Items are logically grouped by shipping address, delivery method and delivery date so your fulfillment center can intelligently box and ship the items saving shipping costs.

B. Shoppers can easily edit any item by clicking the EDIT button next to each item in the cart.

C. A simple order summary section is displayed at the bottom of each cart.

D. Buttons that allow the shopper to return to the shopping system, empty their entire cart (start over) or complete their order process appear at the bottom of the cart.

E. Indicators describing any icons (such as gift message) are clearly explained.

F. The shipping method for each group of items is clearly displayed with each group.

G. Shoppers may remove individual items from their cart by simply pressing the REMOVE button.

H. Gift message icons appear next to items that have a message.  Shoppers can “hover” their mouse over this icon to see what the message contains.

I. Delivery dates (if specified) for each group of items is clearly displayed above each group.

J. Sub totals including shipping appear below each group.

K. A complete order sub-total with shipping and tax is displayed in the order summary section.

L. Grand total (before discounts) appears at the bottom of cart indicating estimated order costs.
